Mary Broach – Senior Associate
Since 2009, Mary has worked for The New Group Consulting. She partners with clients on strategic planning initiatives; conducts benchmarking studies with peer institutions; conducts self-assessment studies through confidential internal interviews; analyzes data; and focuses on building the infrastructure to support organizational development.
Mary has more than 25 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector. She began her career as an investment banking analyst with First Boston in New York. While living in Singapore, as a volunteer, Mary raised funds for Tabitha Cambodia, a community development organization working in rural villages. She oversaw an international fundraising program for water wells and coordinated the multi-national volunteer base in Singapore. Since 2009, she has chaired the U.S. board of directors that coordinates support for Tabitha.
In 2008, Mary co-founded Impact100 Philadelphia, a women’s collective giving organization. Impact100 awards $100,000 grants to organizations in the Philadelphia region, and to date has awarded nearly $2.5 million.
Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University. Together with her Impact100 co-founder, she was awarded PathwaysPA’s 2009 Trailblazer Award and was named the 2010 New Generation Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Philadelphia Chapter.
